Specify the tread as part of the stair assembly

Steel grating stair treads are supplied against the actual stair support and access requirement, not simply by a reference photo. For maintenance stairs, the tread width, depth, bearing-bar direction, and end support should be reviewed together so the panel sits correctly on the steel stringer or supporting angle.

Details to confirm before production

  • Clear tread width and front-to-back depth.
  • Bearing-bar direction in relation to the supported span.
  • Whether a framed edge, nosing detail, fixing hole, or clip provision is required.
  • Material and surface finish appropriate to the project environment.
  • Quantity by stair flight, landing, or replacement panel schedule.

Installation and packing review

Where multiple treads are ordered, provide a simple panel schedule or marked drawing so sizes and fixing positions can be checked before packing. For related access-surface options, see stair tread grating and walkway platform grating. Send the drawing, quantity, packing preference, and destination through the inquiry page for a specification-based quotation.
